What even is GBP SEO? Is it worth it?

So I was thinking today that I was going RIGHT into HOW to do GBP SEO, but didn't cover WHAT is GBP SEO, which you should probably know before knowing how to do it.

SEO stands for 'Search Engine Optimisation' (yes I spell 'optimisation' with an 's').

And mostly when I'll be talking about in HOW to do this, it'll be about the 'Google Business Profile' ('GBP' or even called 'GMB'), so not the website itself, but the actual business showing up.

So if you search up '[niche] [city]', like 'interior designer birmingham', having your GBP optimised properly for THAT keyword, has the opportunity to make YOUR business show up higher for that keyword.

Preferably, you want to show up in the top 3 or top 10 for that search term in your area.

If you weren't there before, being there has a higher chance of:
- Getting more clients

Which if you're looking to make your business GROW, you probably want.
